RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly confirm the following appointments to various positions made by Governor James S. Gilmore III during the 2000 Session of the General Assembly:
AGENCY HEADS
W. Gerald Massengill, 7700 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, Virginia 23235, Acting Superintendent of the Department of State Police, effective January 28, 2000, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor, to succeed M. Wayne Huggins.
Alice Faye Palmer, 701 E. Franklin Street, 10th Floor, Richmond, Virginia 23219, Acting Executive Director of the Governor's Employment and Training Department, effective February 8, 2000, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor, to succeed Carthan F. Currin III; and
George O'Neil Urquhart, 900 E. Main Street, Suite 103, Richmond, Virginia 23219, Executive Director of the Commission on Local Government, effective February 1, 2000, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor, to succeed Michaux H. Wilkinson, Ph.D.
